Kung Fu Necktie
  Headliner: Metroplex
Opening Act: Prowler / Circle the City
  Doors: 7pm / Show: 8pm

If Sleater Kinney were a bunch of dudes, chances are they would sound a lot like Metroplex. Similarities: being a trio, playing punk/hardcore/rock music, working as a successful and technically proficient unit, having an awesome time. Hailing from Warminster Philly members, Matt, Jack and Fred are promoting the release of their most recent album - "Decade Diary".

Starlight Ballroom
  Headliner: Boris
Opening Act: Russian Circles / Disappearer
  Doors: 7pm / Show: 7:30pm
  Tix:$15

Japanese power trio BORIS are back in Philly for the first time in two years withtheir total heavy rock obliteration. Their jams  are packed with brutal leaden rumble, body-wrecking psych-punk, spine-breaking metal, and soaring psych, noise and power drone madness. They're known to shred the stereotypes of Japanese rock with awesome melodic, conventionally structured, and aggressively addictive heavy riffs and sounds. Echoing the sounds of Sabbath and Melvins more than Opeth or Darkthrone, these guys provide an antidote to the more polite, popular strains of indie pop. They flirt with shoegaze and ambient sounds, but always hold their pedals squarely to the metal.

Johnny Brendas
  Headliner: Nneka
  Opening Act: Nikki Jean
  Doors: 8pm / Show: 9pm
  Tix:$12 - $13

Nneka Egbuna was born in Nigeria where she used to sing in her school’s and church choir. After relocating to Germany she’s been singing “professionally“ for 5 years. She cites that her influences reflect her younger days in Nigeria as well as her time in the western world as she names famous compatriot Fela Kuti and legend Bob Marley as well as contemporary rappers Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Mobb Deep and Lauryn Hill. After gaining experiences good and bad with several producers and artists, she finally met DJ and Hip Hop Beatmaker, DJ Farhot. Musically her songs range from deep soulful ballads that tune to modern reinventions of the UK sound, that Massive Attack once was popular for. Though she sings more than raps, she claims Hip Hop as her primary musical roots and an important source of her inspiration.

North Star Bar
  Headliner: Pilot Cloud
Opening Act: Experience. Hold / The Water
  Doors: 7pm / Show: 8pm
  Tix:$8

This shoegaze/post-rock project based out of Philly with members Justin Lerner and Nick Biscardi. Formed in April 2008 solely as a side project for both in order to create music they wanted to listen to. It resulted in their debut album, "In Transition". Once the record became viral hit with internet fans, the pair created a live set and began performing in their home city and embarking on a small tour to bring "In Transition" to as many listeners as possible. That mantra culminated in December 2009, when "In Transition" was re-released on the European label. Promoting their most recent release,"Halcyon", they continue to exemplify the same spirit of independence while allowing for maturity and growth.

  Tix:SOLD OUT!!

The legacy of the Honda Civic Tour burns bright, and Paramore is the latest band representing the roots of the music that started it all. Since the tour's inception in 2001, powerful acts like blink-182, Incubus, Good Charlotte, Black Eyed Peas and Fallout Boy have rocked audiences across the U.S. This year's supporting acts include Canadian indie rockers Tegan and Sara, Civic Tour alumni New Found Glory and newcomers Kadawatha. Leading the rockers way into the new decade of this tour are fan favorites, Paramore. Anyone who has seen this band on the road already knows they put together an incendiary live show. Being able to juxtapose all of their indie-minded influences into a seamless collection of songs that embrace the future without abandoning the band's past. Hayley Williams - vocals, Josh Farro - lead guitar,  Taylor York - rhythm guitar, Zac Farro - drummer and bassist Jeremy Davis have been through a ton of stressful, pressure-filled situations since their debut album feel like they're altogether made completely new. The combination of the musical energy between brothers and Hayley's bold charisma earned them instant attention, particularly from Florida indie label Fueled by Ramen, who signed the band and put them to work recording their debut. The band lists some of their influences to have been Mew, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie and more.

Susquehanna Bank Center
  Headliner: Barenaked Ladies

  Tix:$39.50 - $69.50

’90s Frat friendly, sing along band BNL are in town to belt their chart-toppers and listen to fans sing along. In town to promote their new album, All in Good Time, Barenaked Ladies don’t consider themselves just a “90s” band, it's just that most of their number ones came out in that decade. The band members are still very animated on stage and playing around a lot with their instruments and with each other to keep concert goers completely entertained even if they can't sing along to their songs.
Kids loved them, parents loved them even more, and anyone who fell in love with the Barenaked Ladies in the 90’s will re-smitten by the end of their epic performance on stage.
