Summer Season Concert Series - Philly Style: June 9th

Kung Fu Necktie:
  Headliner: Peggy Sue
Opening Act: Peasant / She Keeps Bees
  Doors: 7:30pm / Show: 8pm
  Tix:$8
Hailing from London, this group follows in the anti-folk tradition. Peggy Sue explores delicate and dark themes of self-worth, regret, longing-the kind of melancholy that creeps into your bones in the middle of the night well after a breakup or the death of a loved one-all riding over drummer Olly's urgent blasts of percussion and the firework pop of Rosa and Katy's searing vocals. As mesmerizing as their vocals, the instrumentation will put you in the mood that their songs were given at the time they were writing so that you at least get the message. Get ready for your mood to swing.

From France, their sound definitely makes you think, import. With two different style vocals, this duo delivers an uncanny sound of pop, drum&bass and jazz put together and gone twisted. Another show that leaves attendees mesmerized. They've traveled the world already and their music will show you what sounds of the world they've taken in. One night of their show and you'll feel like you were all over the globe, too.
